Payment overdue

What "Payment pending" means and how to get back into the panel.

When a charge for your subscription doesn't go through, the Current plan card on the Plans screen shows the Payment pending chip and an Access suspended warning, asking you to update your card under Manage billing or subscribe again. Access to the rest of the panel stays limited until you sort it out.

Plans

What happens

While the payment is overdue, anyone in the workspace who tries to open another screen in the panel gets redirected to Plans. It's a temporary lock that applies to the whole workspace: as soon as the payment clears, access returns to normal automatically.

How to fix it

Only a workspace administrator can sort this out. Open Manage billing under Plans and update your payment method (usually a declined or expired card). Once the charge is accepted, the lock lifts on its own; nothing else to do.

Not supposed to be charged?

If yours is an internal plan (courtesy or partnership), it shouldn't generate a charge. In that case, contact support.

To subscribe, switch plans, or update your card outside this scenario, see Subscribe and manage your plan.

Common issues

  • I'm a collaborator and got redirected, but I don't see how to fix it. Only a workspace administrator sees the Manage billing button enabled; let that person know to update the payment.
  • The "Access suspended" warning stays on the card while payment is pending. It's the standing alert on the Current plan card, asking you to update your card under Manage billing or subscribe again; it clears on its own once the charge is accepted.
  • "Couldn't open billing management right now. Try again shortly or contact support." A temporary failure opening the billing portal. Try again in a moment; if it keeps happening, contact support.
  • I already paid, but the panel still shows the "Payment pending" chip. Confirmation can take a few moments to arrive; refresh the page. If the Payment pending chip is still there after a while, contact support.
